Michael Clark is the Chief Operating Officer at Image Analysis Group (IAG), responsible for the operational delivery of IAG’s global imaging programs across the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Based in London, Michael leads the teams and processes that enable IAG to execute imaging clinical trials at scale from program setup through to data delivery. Ensuring that client commitments are met with consistency and precision.
Michael joined IAG in January 2019, bringing extensive experience in clinical project management and global operations. Before IAG, he built his career managing complex, multi-site clinical programs and establishing project management offices (PMOs) within organizations operating on an international scale. His background in clinical operations gives him a practical understanding of the demands placed on sponsors and CROs alike. He shapes how he approaches the challenge of building teams and infrastructure that can deliver reliably across geographies and therapeutic areas.
Michael’s expertise sits at the intersection of clinical operations and medical imaging. He has depth in the operational requirements of imaging-intensive trials, including DXA-based bone mineral density studies and musculoskeletal imaging programs. His approach is grounded in process discipline and scalability — identifying the systems, roles, and governance structures that allow a growing organization to maintain quality as program volume increases. At IAG, this means building the operational backbone that allows the science and technology teams to do their best work.
Since joining IAG, Michael has led the build-out of IAG’s operational infrastructure to support global-scale imaging clinical trials. He has grown the project management function, established delivery frameworks across IAG’s therapeutic area programs, and worked closely with the scientific and technology teams to ensure that operational capability keeps pace with the company’s expanding client base and service offering.
